I didn't learn this in a training program. I learned it in the trenches.
For 20 years, I led global supply chain operations for brands like McDonald's, Starbucks, and Krispy Kreme. I managed and collaborated with multicultural teams across India, Poland, Germany, China and Philippines. My job was operations.
But I kept building training programs nobody asked me to build. Mentoring people across levels and geographies. Having development conversations that weren't in my job description.
My direct reports went on to build remarkable careers. My mentees got promoted — multiple times. And I kept thinking: why is this so rare?
That question is why I started this practice.
When I walk into a room full of skeptical managers, I've been that skeptical manager. When I work with a multicultural team stuck in friction, I've lived that friction: in five languages, across 15+ countries. That's not a credential. That's a track record.
